MVS Engineering Pvt. Ltd, the renowned manufacturer of gas generators, launched ammonia-cracking hydrogen generators a few years ago. This device cracks ammonia (NH3) components into hydrogen and nitrogen.
According to the molecular formula of ammonia, the resultant gas mixture contains 75% hydrogen and 25% nitrogen. Finally, the uncracked ammonia and water vapours are removed by filtering this gas mixture.
Recently, the MVS Engineering company installed two ammonia crackers of varying capacities to a renowned manufacturer of razor blades and knives in Rajasthan. The manufacturer regularly needs a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen called cracked ammonia at the Rajasthan production facility.

Available in various capacities
This device is available in various sizes and flow ranges, starting from 1 Nm3/hr capacity to 1000 Nm3/hr capacity.
Purity of the mixture of gases
The ammonia crackers of MVS Engineering are designed to produce a gas mixture with varying percentages of hydrogen and nitrogen, per clients’ requirements. They can also have more uncracked ammonia in this mixture as needed for their productions.
Very pure hydrogen available
The resultant hydrogen obtained by cracking ammonia is further purified by eliminating traces of all other gases from the mixture. Hence, 99% pure hydrogen can be obtained from the ammonia crackers made by MVS.
Can be stored under high pressure
Clients can store the cracked gas in their storage tanks under the pressure of 7 Kg/cm2g. Suppose any client needs higher pressure to be exerted on the stored gas mixture. In that case, an extra booster can be provided to serve this purpose.

Very dry gases available
MVS Engineering has designed ammonia crackers to produce the gas mixture after eliminating the moisture from it. Thus, the dew point of the resultant gas can be as low as – 80°C, and it can be changed as per clients’ requirements.
